Facebook is a great way to make a personal connection with your audience. Their advertising and promotion features allow business owners to target and market to specific user groups based on their interests and activity. People that are new to the platform or online marketing may just think that the visitors will naturally come to their page once a few posts are up. The rest of us know that the reality is a little more complicated than that. Below is a quick guide to setting up a Facebook post and giving it a traffic boost in 2018.
Step 1: Create a new post on your Facebook page
Step 2: Locate your post and click Boost Post
Step 3: Select a Call to Action button
Step 4: Click Create a New Audience
Step 5: Set up your demographics
Set age and location
Add some interests, make sure the audience side is good
Step 6: Set budget and duration
Step 8: Select a Payment Method
We did not include a picture of this for…obvious reasons. The process is straight forward though. If you already have a credit card on file, simply select it. If not, add a new one and follow the prompts to complete the process.
Step 7: Click ‘Boost’ in the bottom right
And that’s the quick and easy way to boost your post on Facebook. The process couldn’t be much easier. Where things get tricky is in the nuances of setting up demographics and choosing the type of Call to Action that you want to use.
